How to create a social post in Forgefy
Most tools make you pick a platform first, then force you to redo everything for the next one. You end up posting to one place and telling yourself you will get to the rest later. You never do. Create Post is one modal that produces one post per platform. You add the media once, write the caption once, and Forgefy renders a correct version for every platform you selected. This page walks the whole flow so the rest of the docs can go deeper on individual parts.

Open the Social workspace and click any empty slot in the calendar, or hit the Create Post button. Click any empty day slot or the Create post link on a day card. The Create Post modal opens on that date.

Add media: drop a file, paste from your clipboard, pick something from your library, or start from a visual template. You can also post text only. Drop a file in the dashed zone, or use Library, Canvas or Templates underneath it. Text-only posts work too.

Select your platforms with the icon row above the preview. The preview switches to show how each one will actually look. Click a platform icon to switch it on. Green ring means selected; the preview above reframes to that platform's ratio.

Hit Schedule. The modal closes immediately and the render finishes in the background.
Good to know
The modal closes in under a second on purpose. Rendering, uploading and per-platform variants all continue in the background, so you are never stuck watching a spinner. While a post is rendering it shows a soft pulsing ring in the calendar. When the render is done the post goes back to its normal status by itself. Everything you typed is preserved if you close the modal by accident. Use Clear all when you actually want a blank slate.
Can I post to one platform only?
Yes. Select a single platform icon and only that post is created. You can duplicate it to other platforms later from the calendar.
Do I have to add media?
No. A caption on its own is a valid post on X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Facebook. Platforms that require media, like Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, will tell you before you schedule.
