Reading the revenue chart and dashboard numbers

Two dashboards showing the same business with two different totals is worse than no dashboard. If you cannot trust the number you stop looking at it. The dashboard shows MRR, earned and sales, per project and across all projects, with one normalisation path so the totals agree with each other.

Good to know

All currency conversion runs through one shared path, so a project billing in dollars and one billing in euros roll up correctly. SaaS payments you make yourself are filtered out of the founder aggregation, so your tooling costs do not appear as revenue. Gaps between snapshots are interpolated for the chart line, but the underlying figures are the real recorded values.

Why did my total change without any new sales?

Usually a currency rate refresh or a completed backfill filling in previously missing history.
