Weekly Marketing Routine Checklist
Marketing doesn't need to be a full-time job. This weekly routine covers everything a solo founder needs to maintain a consistent marketing presence in about 3 hours per week.
Batch-create 5-7 social media posts
Set aside 1 hour to write a week's worth of posts. Schedule them all at once.
Write 1 thread or long-form post
Your highest-effort, highest-reward content for the week. Takes ~30 minutes.
Engage for 15 minutes daily (75 min total)
Reply to 5-10 posts per day in your niche. The single best growth activity.
Check and respond to all reviews/mentions
Set up alerts and respond to every mention, review, or tag within 48 hours.
Send 1 email to your list (if applicable)
Newsletter, update, or curated content. Consistency matters more than perfection.
Review analytics (10 minutes)
Check: top-performing posts, traffic sources, signup numbers. Note what worked for next week.
Collect 1 testimonial or piece of social proof
Ask one happy customer per week. Over a year, that's 50+ testimonials.
Comment on 3 industry posts with expertise
Thoughtful comments on popular posts in your space. Positions you as an expert.
Share 1 behind-the-scenes update
Feature progress, customer story, or lesson learned. Keeps your audience connected.
Update your content idea bank
Add 3-5 new content ideas from the week. Customer conversations, news, and engagement insights.
Cross-promote 1 post to another platform
Repurpose your best X post for LinkedIn, or vice versa. 5 minutes, double the reach.
Plan next week's content focus
Before ending your week, decide next week's theme or priority. Monday starts planned, not scrambling.
