X/Twitter Account Warming Guide
New X accounts are under heavy scrutiny. If you start posting aggressively on day one, you'll get flagged as spam. This guide gives you a day-by-day warming schedule to build a new account safely.
Why Account Warming Matters

X's spam detection system assigns a trust score to every account. New accounts start with a low score, which means:

Your tweets get less visibility

Aggressive behavior triggers faster bans

Links in tweets are flagged more aggressively

Follow requests may be blocked

Warming your account means gradually building trust over 2-4 weeks before you start posting your main content.

Week 1: Foundation

Goal: establish your account as human and legitimate.

Day 1-2 - Complete your profile: photo, bio, header, pinned tweet. Follow 10-15 accounts in your niche

Day 3-4 - Like 10-20 tweets/day. Reply to 3-5 tweets with genuine comments (not "great post!")

Day 5-7 - Post your first 1-2 tweets. Keep them personal or opinion-based (no links). Follow 5-10 more accounts

Total activity: very light. You're teaching the algorithm you're a real person.

Week 2: Building Momentum

Daily - Reply to 5-10 tweets, like 20-30, post 1-2 tweets

Content - Share opinions, observations, or quick tips. Still no links

Following - Add 5-10 new relevant accounts daily

Engagement - Start having actual conversations in reply threads

By end of week 2, you should have 20-40 followers organically from your engagement.

Weeks 3-4: Full Activation

Daily - Post 2-3 tweets, reply to 10-15, share your first thread

Links - Start adding links to your replies (not main tweets yet)

Content mix - Tips, build-in-public updates, industry commentary

First promotion - End of week 4, share your first product-related tweet

By end of week 4, you should have 50-100+ followers and a clean account history. Now you can start your regular content strategy.

Do's and Don'ts

Do:

Use your real photo or clear brand image

Write a bio that explains who you are and what you build

Engage with accounts larger than yours

Be consistent - tweet at the same times daily

Don't:

Use automation tools in the first month

Follow more than 20 accounts per day

Post links in your first 7 days

Mass-DM anyone

Copy-paste replies across multiple tweets
