The Improve pass: what it will and will not rewrite
You run an 'improve' button and get back something forty percent shorter, with your images gone and your best paragraph quietly deleted. Improvement should not mean loss. Improve is an editorial pass, not a rewrite. Images and rich blocks are hidden from the model entirely, and there is a hard floor on how much of your text can disappear.

Good to know
Images and rich blocks are masked as frozen tokens before the pass runs, so the model never sees a raw URL or block payload and cannot mangle them. They are restored afterwards. There is an eighty percent retention floor. If the result keeps less than that, it is rejected outright and you are told to use the Shorten recipe instead, because that is what you actually asked for.
